Dermaplaning instructions for you to know before and after your appointment.

What Should I Do Before Microneedling?

If you are taking Accutane products, be sure to stop using them at least six months before your session and tell your esthetician about any other prescription drugs you might be taking. In addition, do not use any topical products that might cause sensitivity to the skin in the week before your treatment. Some examples are retinoids, acids, exfoliants, or even topical antibiotics.

If you have recurring cold sores, take antiviral medication for two days before your treatment and the day of. If you take blood-thinning medicine, ask your doctor if you can stop for one week before your session to minimize bruising.

Special instructions

  1. Change your bed sheets and pillowcases
  2. Use freshly cleaned face towels to dry skin
  3. Do not wear makeup for 6 hours post-treatment
  4. Wash your face before bedtime
  5. Wash your face in the morning
  6. Wash your hands before washing your face
  7. Avoid touching your face
  8. Apply SPF 30 or 50 for the following week when going out
  9. Drink plenty of water
  10. Do not get any facials for at least two weeks
  11. Avoid sunbathing or tanning for seven days
  12. Avoid excess heat, such as saunas and hot showers, for 48 hours
  13. Do not apply perfumed products or fragrances
  14. Do not use non-recommended cosmetics products on your skin
  15. Do not get waxing or laser hair removal on the area for two weeks

Morning routine

  1. Cleanse your skin with the recommended cleanser
  2. Apply a hydrating serum and let your skin absorb it completely
  3. Apply a recommended moisturizer
  4. Apply recommended only SPF sunscreen if you go outside

Evening Routine

  1. Cleanse your skin with the recommended cleanser
  2. Apply a hydrating serum and let your skin absorb it completely (2 or 3 minutes)
  3. Apply a moisturizer
  4. Apply Eye Revive Peptide gel around the eyes
