Stretch marks (medically, striae distensae) are fine bands of scarred skin that form when the dermis is stretched faster than its collagen and elastin can adapt — during a growth spurt, pregnancy, weight change, or muscle gain. They start as raised, pink, red, or purple lines (striae rubrae) and gradually fade to flatter, silvery-white tracks (striae albae). They are extremely common — affecting most people at some point — and while no treatment erases them entirely, the right professional approach can dramatically soften their colour, depth, and texture.
At New Age Spa, our certified medical estheticians don't sell a single quick fix. We assess where your stretch marks are in their lifecycle — fresh and red, or mature and white — your skin type, and your tone, then route you to the treatment that fits: collagen-remodelling microneedling, a resurfacing body chemical peel, or a skin-firming body treatment. Every plan begins with a free consultation across our four clinics in Montreal, Laval, Saint-Léonard, and the West Island (DDO).
