There is no infrared and LED face combination session, only two separate appointments

We do not list a combined body-infrared-and-LED-face session. The infrared we run is part of the Slimwave EMS session, and the LED face session is its own appointment. Booking both means booking two things.

That is worth saying plainly, because "combination protocol" is the kind of phrase that makes two ordinary appointments sound like a third, more advanced one.

What the two things actually are

  • Slimwave EMS + InfraRED — $135, 45 minutes. A 24-pad console: pads strapped in bands across the area, with infrared as part of the session. The work it does is muscle contraction. It is a body appointment.
  • Red Light Therapy Facial — $135, 45 minutes. A panel over the face, treating skin. It is a skin appointment.

Two appointments, 90 minutes, $270 if you do both in a visit.

Does stacking them do anything extra?

No, and we are not going to imply otherwise. One works on muscle in the area the pads sit on. The other works on the skin of your face. They do not overlap, they do not amplify each other, and there is no mechanism by which doing them back to back produces more than doing them on separate days.

What stacking genuinely buys is one trip instead of two. For a lot of people that is the whole reason, and it is a perfectly good one. It is just not a clinical one, and the price is simply the two prices added together, because it is two appointments.

If you do book both, the order barely matters

People expect a rule here. There is not much of one, because the two are working on different tissue in different places. Book whichever suits your day and finish with the one you would rather be lying still for.

The one practical note is time: 90 minutes of appointments plus changing is most of a lunch break gone, so it is worth booking when you are not watching a clock.

What it costs

ServiceTimePriceWhat it works on
Free Body Consult15 minNo chargeWhether either of these is right for you
Slimwave EMS + InfraRED45 min$135Muscle, in the area the pads sit on
Red Light Therapy Facial45 min$135Facial skin
Deep Cleansing Facial + LED60 min$135Skin, with a cleansing facial around the light

Same prices at all four clinics. If the skin half is your real reason for coming, the cleansing facial with LED is the better-value door, and a home mask may be better still.

Neither of them is a slimming treatment

EMS contracts muscle and does not remove fat. Light therapy does not remove fat either. Pairing them in one visit does not change that, and a package sold on the two together should not be presented as body contouring — the two get bundled and sold that way, and it is worth reading why that does not follow.

What we will not do

  • Sell the pair as a protocol, a stack or a programme.
  • Claim the two amplify each other.
  • Charge for a combination as though it were a distinct treatment.
  • Present either as slimming.

When we will not treat you at all

For the EMS half: a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator, pregnancy, epilepsy, metal implants in the area, active cancer, or a known or suspected blood clot. For the light half: pregnancy, photosensitising medication, or a condition made worse by light. Neither is done over broken or infected skin, and eye protection is worn for every light session.

See a doctor if

You have a photosensitive condition such as lupus or porphyria, you take photosensitising medication, or you have a history of skin cancer. And separately, if you have a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator, the EMS half is not available to you at all — that one is not a matter of caution, it is a firm no.

What we offer for this

Prices are a starting point and the consultation is free. What actually suits you is decided when we see the skin, not from a page.

Where to find us

This page is general information and is not medical advice. Prices are current as of 3 September 2026, are per session, and can change. New Age Spa does not list a combined body infrared and LED facial session; the infrared on our menu forms part of the Slimwave EMS session and the LED facial is a separate appointment, so booking both means booking and paying for two services. The two treatments act on different tissue and are not claimed to enhance one another. Neither EMS nor light therapy is a weight-loss or fat-removal treatment, neither targets fat in the area treated, and gains from stimulated muscle contraction reverse when sessions stop. Light therapy effects are cumulative and depend on repeated sessions; outcomes vary and no result is guaranteed. EMS is not performed for anyone with a pacemaker or implanted defibrillator, during pregnancy, for anyone with epilepsy, over metal implants in the treatment area, or where there is active cancer or a known or suspected blood clot. Light therapy is not performed during pregnancy, where a photosensitive condition exists, or while taking photosensitising medication. Neither is performed over broken or infected skin, and eye protection is worn for every light session. Anyone with a photosensitive condition such as lupus or porphyria, taking photosensitising medication, or with a history of skin cancer should consult a physician first.
