IPL photo facial, also known as photorejuvenation, is a corrective and anti-ageing treatment praised to reverse sun damage, even out the facial colour, as well as improve tone and texture. Intense pulsed light photofacials in our Montreal and Laval beauty clinics have proven to tighten pores, reduce acne, remove sun spots and freckles, reduce hyperpigmentation and treat redness or rosacea.

IPL for VASCULAR or rosacea

Treatment of vascular and pigmented lesions in our beauty clinics in Montreal and Laval are done with non-invasive and high tech techniques. Experience the safest and most effective skin treatments to clear coupe-rose, rosacea, spider veins, hyperpigmentation and acne scars and blemishes. Intense Pulse Light therapy or IPL is safe to use on all skin types and age groups. We have successfully treated telangiectasia, erythema, rosacea, broken capillaries, dyschromia, sunspots, melasma and more.

IPL for Pigmentation

IPL applies intense light and heat to the treatment area or body part. This heat energy coagulates the blood vessels and breaks down skin discoloration. Following your treatment, pigmentation lesions may disappear immediately or heal and create small scabs on the skin’s surface. Intense pulsed light IPL treatments are very gentle on the skin and can produce visible results in 2-3 sessions without any downtime. This technology is used to treat damaged skin quickly and restore cleaner, smoother, younger-looking skin texture.

What Do I Need to Do Before IPL?

To minimize any potential side effects, you must prepare yourself before the appointment:

Protect your skin from the sun (SPF 30). Stop using any form of Vitamin A acid, retinoids and skin medication for 60 days. Ensure your skin is unbroken and not sunburnt.

What Do I Need To Do After the IPL Treatment?

To minimize any potential side effects, individuals who’ve just undergone an IPL photo facial should:

immediately apply moisturizer and sunscreen before leaving. Avoid the sun as much as possible for the duration of the treatment plan and the next two weeks following the final IPL photofacial treatment. Do not perform an intensive exercise for 48 hours. Avoid using any form of Vitamin A acid for the duration of the treatment plan, including retinoic acid, glycolic acid, tretinoin (Retin-A) and alpha-hydroxy acids. Avoid using accutane. Moisturize frequently

Is there any downtime or recovery after IPL?

No, Intense pulsed light is a safer alternative to laser treatments. This means that you will have no downtime, but you may experience redness for 24 hours. You can book an appointment on your lunch break and go back to work right after, no problem.
